This flight takes you over some of the territory’s
most significant historical landmarks. You’ll
enjoy a bird’s-eye view the Yukon River and of
Marsh Lake on the route of the gold rush stampeders.
Marsh Lake is also a major staging area for migratory
water birds, including trumpeter and tundra swans. You’ll
be treated to a panoramic view of Lake Laberge, the
setting of Robert Service’s famous poem The Cremation
of Sam McGee. And you will fly over Fish Lake, for millennia
an important camping, fishing and hunting area for the
original Native settlers of the Yukon. You’ll
surely agree that Whitehorse deserves to be world famous
for its beautiful location.
