The
Yukon Fishing Tour combines floatplane adventure, world-class
fishing and comfortable lodge living all in one package.
These nine days spent in the great Canadian North could
well be the most memorable of your life!
Our friendly staff will pick you up at
the Whitehorse airport or your hotel and bring you to
our floatplane base on Schwatka Lake. Here you’ll
meet your skilled pilot and board one of our floatplanes.
After a scenic flight to the northwest, you will land
at the Ruby Range Wilderness and Fishing Lodge at the
end of Talbot Arm of Kluane Lake. For the next four
days you will enjoy the warm hospitality of the lodge
and excellent fishing for grayling, lake trout and northern
pike. The area also offers lots of opportunity for hiking
tours and the region abounds in wildlife.
In
the morning of the fifth day, the floatplane will pick
you up and head south. We fly along the spectacular
mountains and glaciers of Kluane National Park for about
50 minutes before reaching the Dalton Trail Lodge on
the shore of Dezadeash Lake.
Dalton Trail Lodge offers comfort and
hospitality on the shore of a great fishing lake. Here
the lake trout can reach up to 40 pounds and the northern
pike to 30 pounds. Short
trips to neighbouring lakes and rivers result in rainbow
trout, grayling and salmon. It’s all a fly angler’s
idea of paradise. And what better way to end the day
than in the cozy lounge bar, talking about the great
catches made just hours before!
After breakfast on the tenth day, the
floatplane will arrive to take you back over the scenic
mountains and valleys to Whitehorse.
